On July 8 2021, she was identified as a possible contestant in the trainee reveal teaser.
On July 12 2021, she was fully confirmed through the K-Group's O.O.O performance ver.
On August 6 2021 during the broadcast of the first episode, she performed Aespa's 'Black Mamba' alongside trainees, An Jeong Min and Lee Yun Ji for the Planet Demo Stage. It was revealed during this episode that her signal song evaluation was rank K23.
